Parthenon Effect Paper

Parthenon Response Paper #3

The Achievement of the Greeks

During the film that we watched in class, We learned a lot of things that I recently never recognized and though were possible throughout the Greek time-honored age. The Parthenon was greater than an amazing piece of architecture. The Greeks committed this monument to their Traditional goddess Athena. I was amazed to learn while you're watching the video that they did not intend to go off from but yet manufactured the framework of the Parthenon so complex that experts today are experiencing trouble dissecting their success. For the Greeks to produce something like that in 447 BC is surreal and to finish this in 9 years although it is predicted for specialists today considering the tools they have to finish the project in 40 years. Some points don't make sense, like how do they be ahead of each of our time whenever we seem to know so much more than those living back in the Greek traditional age? In addition to I feel that we understand more about architecture although I i am also certain that the equipment and machinery that we have right now are so far better and more trusted that we must be able to build something similar to that better and in a fraction of the time. That however is not the case; the Greeks somehow were more efficient than we could now which can be hard to think. While I was watching the video I learned that the beams supporting home are not straight even though they appear to be. The video brought up that there were minor curves in each and every beam that made every one exceptional which I believed was interesting since gowns advanced engineering. I avoid want make an assumption that Greek technology was more than ours mainly because it's certainly not, but I actually can't deny the fact they will built something which we have difficulty figuring out its plans therefore i give them a round of applause intended for the success of the Parthenon. One of the reasons I really believe they were more useful than modern day workers is basically because they bred workers and would continually be doing something while present workers wait for instruction...
